RapidLoo Toilet Hire for Events & Large‑Scale Sites

RapidLoo is a flat-pack portable toilet that travels in pieces and is built on site. For festivals and big outdoor events that need dozens or hundreds of toilets, that changes the logistics. We help you work out whether it suits your event, then arrange it through our supplier network where it’s available.

What is a RapidLoo?

RapidLoo is a single-cubicle portable toilet designed around a simple idea: transport the toilet flat-packed, then assemble it on site. The roof, walls and base with its waste tank arrive stacked together rather than as a finished cubicle.

Once built, it works like the standard chemical portable toilet most people know from festivals and outdoor events. It has a holding tank that collects waste until the unit is serviced or emptied, and it needs a solid, level spot and access for the service vehicle.

RapidLoo is the product name, and it’s made and hired out by other companies. Toilet Hire Near Me doesn’t manufacture RapidLoo or own a RapidLoo fleet. What we do is plan event toilets and arrange them through our network of suppliers, and RapidLoo is one of the options we can look at for the right event.

What makes RapidLoo different?

The important difference with RapidLoo isn’t simply that the toilet arrives flat-packed. The bigger advantage is what that does to the logistics of supplying a large number of toilets.

Transport

More toilets per load

A conventional portable toilet travels fully assembled, so a lorry carries a lot of empty cubicle space. GAP describes RapidLoo as designed so four units stack together for transport, taking the space of one conventional toilet.

Build

Assembled on site

GAP’s published information says a RapidLoo can be assembled in under three minutes without tools. That matters when a crew has to build rows of units inside a fixed setup window.

Scale

The benefit grows with the order

For three or four toilets the difference is small. When an event needs rows of toilets across campsites, arenas and car parks, fewer lorry trips and quicker builds start to add up.

Is RapidLoo cheaper?

Not automatically. Transport and logistics savings can make it commercially attractive, but the price for your event depends on the number of units, the location, access, delivery requirements, servicing and which suppliers have stock on your dates. For some events a conventional portaloo package will work out simpler and better value. We’ll tell you which way it goes once we know the details. Our portaloo hire prices give a sense of standard event costs.

RapidLoo for festivals and large events

For a small garden party, a conventional portable toilet is usually the simpler solution. For a large outdoor event requiring dozens or potentially hundreds of temporary toilets, the logistics behind the toilet fleet become much more important.

That’s where RapidLoo earns its place. Every extra lorry means another delivery slot, another vehicle on site during build, and another movement across ground that may already be soft. Cutting the number of loads can make a real difference to how smoothly the toilet build fits into the wider event build.

Our festival toilet hire guide covers the wider planning. This page focuses on where a flat-pack toilet fits into it.

Festivals and camping events

Multi-day events with toilet blocks spread across arenas, campsites and car parks, where the numbers are high and the build window is tight.

County and agricultural shows

Large showgrounds with public toilet blocks, trade areas and livestock sections, often on grass with limited vehicle routes.

Outdoor concerts and sporting events

One or two days of very high use from a big crowd, with sharp peaks at arrival, intervals and departure.

Large private and public gatherings

Temporary event sites with no permanent facilities, where every toilet has to be brought in and taken away again.

When RapidLoo makes sense, and when it doesn’t

Choosing event toilets isn’t just a case of counting heads. These are the things we look at before recommending one type of unit over another.

RapidLoo is worth considering when

  • The event needs a large number of standard toilets
  • Transport movements to and around the site need to be kept down
  • Toilets are spread across a big site, far from where lorries can reach
  • There’s a crew and time on site to build units before opening
  • The organiser has sustainability targets that include transport
  • A supplier with RapidLoo stock can reach the event location

A conventional setup may suit better when

  • You need a handful of toilets for a party or small event
  • The event is a wedding or hospitality occasion where comfort comes first
  • Units are going to one spot close to the road
  • No RapidLoo stock is available near you on your dates
  • The job is a building site with weekly servicing over months
  • Accessible toilets are needed, which is a separate unit either way

What we ask about before recommending anything

Attendance and event type, how long it runs and whether it’s one day or several, whether alcohol is served, when the arrival and departure peaks fall, the site layout and ground conditions, vehicle access and how far units sit from where a lorry can stop, the setup time available, servicing, accessible toilet and urinal requirements, VIP and hospitality areas, and facilities for contractors and crew. Those answers decide the right mix far more than any single product does.

RapidLoo for difficult-access event sites

Conventional portable toilets are normally moved assembled, which means big vehicles, a lot of loads and sometimes a long reach from the delivery point to where the toilets need to stand. Flat-pack units can ease some of that, because the parts are compact and the units are built where they’re needed.

It doesn’t mean a RapidLoo can go anywhere. Access still has to be checked, each unit needs a solid and level position, and the site still needs a route for the service vehicle that empties and cleans the toilets during and after the event. A narrow lane that stops a delivery lorry will often stop a tanker too. Our guide to where to place portable toilets covers positioning in more detail.

  • Narrow or restricted access. Fewer, smaller loads can help, but the servicing route needs planning too.
  • Remote areas of large rural sites. Toilet blocks far from the main entrance mean long runs for every delivery.
  • Limited setup windows. Quick assembly helps when the build crew only has the site for a short time.
  • Minimising vehicle movements. Useful on sensitive ground, in parkland or near residents.
  • Large quantities in one go. The more units on the order, the bigger the transport difference.
  • Access still assessed on every job. We ask about gates, tracks, weight limits and ground before confirming.

Can RapidLoo reduce event toilet transport?

Because RapidLoo toilets travel flat-packed, substantially more units can potentially be moved per load than fully assembled portable toilets. The best published example comes from GAP Group, one of the suppliers of RapidLoo in the UK.

7 artic loads

to deliver the RapidLoos at Boardmasters 2022, a festival on a 400-acre site in Cornwall, according to GAP’s published case study.

28 artic loads

GAP’s estimate of what the same delivery would have needed using standard portable toilets.

GAP also reported that the build took five days across the site and recovery took three, with each unit taking around three minutes to assemble. These are GAP’s figures from one event, not a Toilet Hire Near Me result, and they won’t transfer directly to every site. They do show the principle clearly.

Fewer loads can mean lower transport requirements, fewer vehicle movements around the event, potentially lower transport-related emissions, and simpler logistics for very large toilet orders. At least one UK hire company that stocks RapidLoo, Site Equip, has published a figure of up to a 75% saving on carbon footprint. That’s a supplier’s claim rather than an independent measurement, and the real effect depends on travel distance, the vehicles used, how many units are moved, and how servicing is done during the event. We won’t promise a specific carbon saving.

If sustainability matters to your event, it’s worth looking at the whole setup. Our page on eco-friendly toilet hire covers other options.

How RapidLoo is deployed

A typical RapidLoo job follows these stages. Exact logistics depend on the supplier, the event and the site, and we confirm them with you before anything is booked.

  1. Requirements assessed

Event type, attendance, duration, alcohol, site plan and dates.

  2. Numbers calculated

How many toilets, plus accessible units, urinals and handwashing.

  3. Access and positions checked

Delivery routes, ground, block locations and the servicing route.

  4. Units transported

The flat-packed toilets arrive in fewer, denser loads.

  5. Assembled on site

Each cubicle is built where it will stand.

  6. Prepared for use

Units are positioned, charged with chemical and stocked.

  7. Serviced during the event

Emptying, cleaning and restocking on a planned schedule.

  8. Emptied and removed

Tanks are pumped out, units broken down and collected.

RapidLoo vs standard portable toilets

RapidLoo isn’t intended to replace every conventional portable toilet. Its strongest use case is where transport efficiency, quantity and event logistics become major considerations.

RapidLoo vs luxury toilet trailers

These two solve completely different problems. RapidLoo is about practical, high-volume toilet provision for large crowds. A luxury toilet trailer is about comfort and appearance, with flushing toilets, running water, mirrors and lighting.

A large event can use both. General admission areas might run on rows of standard or flat-pack toilets, with accessible units and urinals alongside, while a VIP area, hospitality tent or artist compound has its own luxury trailer. That’s a common pattern, not a requirement, and plenty of events need only one or the other.

See our luxury toilet trailer hire page, or compare a luxury trailer vs a portaloo.

RapidLoo

High-volume event sanitation for festivals and large outdoor events. Practical temporary toilets where numbers and logistics lead the decision.

Luxury toilet trailers

Weddings, VIP areas, hospitality and corporate events. Occasions where how the toilets look and feel is a priority.

How many RapidLoos do I need?

The number of toilets doesn’t change because the unit is flat-packed. The same planning applies to RapidLoo as to any event toilet, and ratios are a starting point, not a substitute for looking at the event.

Starting point 50 to 58 toilets
  • Plus accessible toilets, planned separately
  • Urinals can take pressure off the cubicles
  • At this size, RapidLoo is worth pricing alongside standard units

Based on one toilet per 35 to 40 people for longer events or where there’s a bar. We check every figure against your site plan.

Get a quote for this

After the headline number, we look at the things that move it: the audience and its demographics, when the peaks fall, how the site is laid out and how far people have to walk to a toilet block, how often units can be serviced, how many accessible toilets are needed, and how many urinals can take the pressure off the cubicles. A camping festival with a bar needs far more than a daytime show with the same headcount.

The reasoning behind these numbers is in our event portaloo guide, and the Loo Workout Tool on our homepage covers smaller events and weddings.

Accessible toilets, urinals and handwashing

RapidLoo is a standard-sized cubicle. GAP lists its door opening at 62cm, so it isn’t a wheelchair-accessible toilet and shouldn’t be counted as accessible provision. Accessible units with level entry, a wider door, grab rails and space to turn a wheelchair need planning into the setup as a separate line, positioned on firm, level routes near the main areas. See our disabled toilet hire page.

Urinals take a lot of pressure off the cubicles at busy events, which shortens queues and means fewer cubicles are needed. Handwashing matters as much as the toilets, especially where food is served, so handwashing, whether wash stations or sanitiser, is part of every plan we put together.

Servicing and event sanitation planning

Toilet numbers are only one part of event sanitation. On multi-day and high-volume events, servicing and waste management decide whether the toilets are still usable on the last day.

Planned in advance

Scheduled servicing

Emptying, cleaning and restocking at set times, ideally before the busiest periods rather than during them.

Tanks and tankers

Waste removal

Each unit’s tank is pumped out by vacuum tanker. GAP lists RapidLoo’s waste tank at 180 litres, so heavy use means more frequent emptying.

Routes on site

Service vehicle access

Tankers need a route to every block, and it needs to still work in the rain on day three.

Every visit

Cleaning and consumables

Toilet roll, chemical and sanitiser topped up, with cubicles cleaned on each service.

Peaks and queues

Peak usage

Headliners, intervals and closing time create surges. Block sizes and servicing are planned around them.

Staffed events

Attendants and hygiene

Larger events may need attendants to keep blocks clean and stocked between full services.

Exact servicing frequency depends on event size, duration and use, and we agree it with the supplier as part of the quote.

How Toilet Hire Near Me can help

We work with a network of trusted suppliers across the south of England and South Wales, so we can put together the right mix of units for an event rather than pushing one product. You get one contact for the planning and booking process, from the first numbers to the last collection.

RapidLoo availability depends on which suppliers hold stock, the event location, dates and the event’s requirements. If RapidLoo isn’t available or isn’t the right fit, we’ll say so and suggest what is.

Events we’ve arranged toilets for include the Thames Path Ultra Challenge, where we supplied more than 50 portable toilets, the One Love Festival and two marathon events in East Sussex, Notting Hill Carnival, and a beer festival and dog show in Kent. We’re not claiming RapidLoo was used at any of these. They’re the kind of large, busy events where we plan numbers, positions and servicing every season. Read what customers say on our testimonials page.

  • Standard portaloos for general event use.

Areas we cover

Our supplier network covers the south of England and South Wales, from Kent and London across to Bristol, Bath and Cardiff. RapidLoo stock isn’t held everywhere, so availability depends on where your event is. Standard event toilets, accessible units and luxury trailers are available across all of these areas.

RapidLoo questions

What is a RapidLoo?

A RapidLoo is a flat-pack portable toilet. It’s transported as stacked panels with a base and waste tank, then assembled on site into a single cubicle that works like a standard chemical portable toilet.

How quickly can a RapidLoo be assembled?

GAP Group’s published product information says a RapidLoo can be assembled in under three minutes without tools. Total build time for an event also depends on how many units there are, the crew size and the distances across the site.

How many RapidLoos can be transported on one vehicle?

It depends on the vehicle and the supplier. GAP says four RapidLoos stack together in the space of one conventional toilet. Site Equip has said it can carry 96 flat-packed units on an articulated lorry, compared with around 20 assembled conventional toilets.

Are RapidLoos suitable for festivals and large events?

Yes, that’s where they make the most sense. The transport and build advantages grow with the number of toilets, so festivals, county shows, concerts and large sporting events benefit most. GAP used RapidLoos across the campsites, car parks and external areas at Boardmasters 2022.

Are RapidLoos suitable for difficult-access sites?

They can help where fewer loads are needed or units are built away from the road, but they can’t go anywhere. Each unit needs a solid, level position and a route for the tanker that services it, so access is checked on every job.

Are RapidLoos cheaper than standard portaloos?

Not automatically. Transport savings can make them commercially attractive on large orders, but the price depends on quantity, location, access, delivery, servicing and supplier availability. For small events a standard portaloo is often simpler and better value.

Are RapidLoos environmentally friendly?

Moving more toilets per load means fewer vehicle movements, which can lower transport-related emissions. Site Equip has published a figure of up to a 75% carbon footprint saving, but that’s a supplier’s claim, and the real effect depends on distance, vehicles, quantity and servicing. We won’t promise a specific saving.

How many RapidLoos do I need?

The same as any event toilet. As a starting point, around one toilet per 35 to 40 people for longer events or where alcohol is served, and one per 50 for shorter events without a bar. Then add accessible toilets and urinals and adjust for peaks, layout and servicing. The calculator above gives a quick estimate.

Do RapidLoos need servicing?

Yes. They have a holding tank, which GAP lists at 180 litres, so on busy or multi-day events they need emptying, cleaning and restocking on a schedule. Servicing frequency depends on event size, duration and use.

Can I hire accessible toilets alongside RapidLoos?

Yes, and you should plan them in. RapidLoo is a standard-sized cubicle with a 62cm door opening per GAP, so it isn’t a wheelchair-accessible toilet. We arrange accessible units as part of the same booking.

Can RapidLoos be used for weddings?

They can, but they’re rarely the right choice. Weddings usually need a small number of toilets and guests notice comfort and appearance, so a luxury toilet trailer or smart portaloos tend to suit better.

Can Toilet Hire Near Me supply RapidLoos?

We can arrange RapidLoo through our supplier network where stock is available for your location and dates. We don’t manufacture or own RapidLoo units. If they aren’t available or aren’t the best fit, we’ll recommend the setup that is.

Planning a large event and considering RapidLoo?

Send us the event location, date, expected attendance and site details. We’ll look at the practical toilet requirements and check the most suitable options available through our supplier network.
