What a luxury toilet trailer gives your guests
A luxury toilet trailer is a self-contained toilet block on wheels. Instead of single plastic cubicles, guests step up into proper washrooms with flushing toilets, running water at the basin, interior lighting, mirrors and vanity units. It feels like the facilities in a good venue, which is exactly the point when there are no facilities at all.
Each trailer has a ladies’ side and a gents’ side with separate entrances. The numbers in the name describe the layout: ladies’ cubicles first, then the gents’ side. A 3+1, for example, has three ladies’ cubicles and one gents’ cubicle with urinals.
Trailers run mains or tank fed depending on your site, and need a power supply nearby for the lights and flushing. We check both with you before anything is booked. If you’re weighing up the two options, our guide to a luxury trailer vs a portaloo sets out the differences.
- 1Flushing toiletsToilets that flush, like the ones guests use at home.
- 2Running waterHand basins with taps, so guests wash their hands properly.
- 3Lighting and mirrorsLit interiors and mirrors, which matters most after dark.
- 4Vanity unitsSomewhere to put a bag down and fix hair and make-up.
- 5Separate ladies’ and gents’Two entrances, with urinals on the gents’ side to keep queues moving.
Luxury toilet trailer sizes
Five configurations cover everything from a garden party to a large corporate event. Guest numbers are a rough guide for a day and evening with a bar. An evening reception with a free bar may need the next size up.
Up to about 50 guests
Small weddings, garden parties and private dinners.
Up to about 100 guests
Most marquee weddings and family celebrations.
Up to about 150 guests
Larger weddings and corporate hospitality. See the 3+1.
Up to about 220 guests
Big receptions with a busy evening bar.
250 guests and up
Large events, often paired with extra units.

Which luxury trailer do you need?
Move the slider to your guest number. A bar changes the answer more than anything else, because guests visit far more often once drinks are flowing.
For events that need standard units alongside a trailer, the Loo Workout Tool on our homepage covers the numbers, and our event portaloo guide explains the ratios.
Luxury toilet hire prices
These are our standard prices for a luxury toilet trailer, including delivery, setup and collection. Your quote confirms the exact total for your postcode, dates and hire length, so the figure you approve is the figure you pay.
The 1+1 is our most popular trailer and its price varies by location, so it can come in below the list price. What moves the price is mostly location and timing. Longer hires, awkward access and peak summer Saturdays can all affect it, and some areas come in cheaper than the list price. In Kent, for example, some of our best trailer rates are on Maidstone drops.
For standard units, see our portaloo hire prices.
| Trailer | Suits roughly | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 1+1 | Up to 50 guests | From £750 |
| 2+1 | Up to 100 guests | £850 |
| 3+1 | Up to 150 guests | £875 |
| 3+2 | Up to 220 guests | £950 |
| 4+2 | 250 guests and up | £1,050 |
Luxury toilets for weddings, parties and events
A trailer earns its place wherever guests are dressed up, the event runs into the evening, or the toilets are part of how people remember the day.
Marquees, barns and gardens
Weddings
Guests are in heels and long dresses, and many will touch up make-up through the evening. A trailer with lighting, mirrors and running water feels like part of the venue rather than a compromise at the edge of the field.
Wedding toilet questionsBirthdays, garden parties
Private parties
A big party at home can overwhelm one bathroom and bring guests through the house all night. A trailer on the drive or lawn keeps people outside and the house tidy.
Clients and staff
Corporate events
Hospitality, launches and summer parties where your brand is on show. Plastic cubicles don’t fit the impression you’re paying for, and a clean, lit trailer does.
VIP, backstage, crew
Festivals
General admission runs on event toilets. A trailer in the VIP area or artist compound gives premium ticket holders something worth paying for.
Premium ticket areas
VIP events
When guests have paid more, or are the people you most want to impress, the toilets are noticed. A trailer with its own position and lighting sets the area apart.
Clubhouses, race days
Sporting events
Rugby and cricket club days, race meetings and finish lines, where the clubhouse can’t cope with the crowd or the hospitality tent needs its own facilities.
Fields and estates
Outdoor events
Country estates, farms and open fields with no buildings at all. A trailer gives you proper washrooms anywhere a vehicle can reach and power can be run.
Anniversaries, christenings
Celebrations
Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, christenings and wakes, where older guests in particular appreciate a lit, stable, comfortable washroom.
A luxury trailer is the right call when
- Guests are dressed up and the event runs into the evening
- The venue has no toilets, or too few for the numbers
- Appearance matters, as at weddings, corporate and VIP events
- You’d rather have one smart block than a row of cubicles
- There’s level ground, vehicle access and power nearby
Standard portable toilets may suit better when
- It’s a large public event where volume matters most
- There’s no power and no way of bringing it to the trailer
- The only spot is up a steep or soft track a trailer can’t reach
- Guests who can’t manage steps need an accessible unit anyway
- It’s a building site, where site toilet hire is the right service
What we check before your trailer arrives
Most problems with toilet trailers happen on the day, and almost all of them could have been spotted beforehand. These are the questions we ask on every luxury toilet hire booking.
Rural venues need the most care. Low branches, tight bends and soft field entrances can all stop a trailer, so we ask about the route in as well as the spot it will stand on. If the access is tight, tell us and we’ll find a solution before the day rather than on it.
Trailers sit off the ground with steps up to the doors. If any guests use a wheelchair or can’t manage steps, add a disabled access toilet beside the trailer. Our guide on where to place toilets at an event covers positioning in more detail.
- Level, firm ground. The trailer has to sit level to work properly, and grass needs to be firm enough to take it.
- Vehicle access. A clear route from the road to the spot, including gateways, bends and overhanging trees.
- Power nearby. A supply for the lighting and flushing, so we ask where the nearest socket or generator is.
- Water. Mains or tank fed depending on your site, agreed before booking.
- Position. Close enough to the marquee to be convenient, far enough from the dining area, with a lit path after dark.
- Timings. Delivery and collection fitted around your setup, the venue’s rules and any other suppliers on site.

Luxury toilet hire questions
How much does luxury toilet trailer hire cost?
Our standard prices are from £750 for a 1+1 (varies by location), £850 for a 2+1, £875 for a 3+1, £950 for a 3+2 and £1,050 for a 4+2, including delivery, setup and collection. Your quote confirms the exact total for your postcode, dates and hire length.
How many toilets do I need for my event?
As a rough guide, a 1+1 suits up to about 50 guests, a 2+1 up to 100, a 3+1 up to 150, a 3+2 up to 220 and a 4+2 for 250 and up. An evening reception with a free bar may need the next size up, and very large events often pair a trailer with extra units.
Are luxury toilet trailers suitable for weddings?
Yes, weddings are the most common reason people book one. For marquee, barn and garden weddings with no permanent toilets, a trailer gives guests flushing toilets, running water, lighting and mirrors through the day and evening.
What is included with luxury toilet hire?
The trailer itself, with flushing toilets, hand basins with running water, interior lighting, mirrors and vanity units, plus delivery, setup and collection. Power and water arrangements are agreed with you before booking.
How much space does a toilet trailer need?
It depends on the size of trailer, and the bigger configurations are noticeably longer. Beyond the trailer itself, you need level, firm ground, room for the vehicle to position it, and space for guests to reach the steps. Tell us where you’d like it and we’ll confirm it fits.
Can luxury toilet trailers be delivered to rural venues?
Usually, yes. Many of our trailers go to farms, estates and fields. Low branches, tight bends and soft field entrances can all stop a trailer, so we check the route in with you before booking.
Does a luxury toilet trailer need power and water?
It needs a power supply nearby for the lighting and flushing. Water is mains or tank fed depending on your site. We check both with you before the booking is confirmed.
How far in advance should I book?
Book as early as you can for weddings and summer events. Summer weekends book up months ahead, especially between May and September. Outside peak season, a few weeks’ notice is often enough.
Can you provide luxury toilets for large events?
Yes. The 4+2 suits 250 guests and up, and for bigger events we combine trailers with standard event toilets, urinals and accessible units so the numbers work without everyone queuing at one block.
Do you provide delivery and collection?
Yes, delivery, setup and collection are included in the trailer price. Times are agreed in advance and fitted around your venue and other suppliers.
What happens if I need a luxury toilet trailer at short notice?
Call us on 07432 332 921. We regularly handle last-minute event enquiries and will check the suppliers we work with for your date. Availability is tighter on summer weekends, but it’s always worth asking.
Are luxury toilet trailers wheelchair accessible?
Standard trailers have steps up to the doors, so they aren’t suitable for wheelchair users. We arrange a separate disabled access toilet on the same booking, placed on firm, level ground near the trailer.
